IBC's Genesis Hack 2019 Attracts 65K Developers from over India
IBC Media announces the launch of Genesis hack – one of the biggest blockchain hackathons in the world at the 10K NASSCOM Start-up Warehouse in Bengaluru. The main objective of the hackathon is to promote and increase the number blockchain developers in India. The event launch saw various reputed blockchain industry experts like Abhishek Pitti, CEO, Nucleus Vision; Amit Kanodia, CEO, Host and Abhinav Ramesh, CEO, Murmur and many others.
Statistics say that India has over 6 million trained software developers and with a potential to be a blockchain powerhouse, the event aims to bring together over 65K developers to compete eachother for a cash prize of over 1 crore. The participants will be tested through three major tracks namely, building a blockchain protocol, dApps and building security solutions for blockchain infrastructures. Along with the cash prize, participants will also receive an invitation to India’s entire developer community as blockchain-ready. The registrations will soon open for its participants and offer them with proper time and mentorship to build their projects.
Abhishek Pitti, CEO, Nucleus Vision, says, “There are several use cases for blockchain technology across several industries. But to scale up, we need engineering talent to build and maintain blockchain infrastructures. An event like Gene-sis Hackathon can help promote the need for more blockchain developers”.
